Our Mission
The Scholastic Optical Upliftment Program (S.O.U.P.) is dedicated to enhancing, educating, and uplifting underprivileged communities throughout Georgia. Founded by Licensed Dispensing Optician Dorian Cabrera, LDO, and Licensed Optometrist Dr. Lachionte’ Culpepper, OD, MS, S.O.U.P. draws on over 35 years of combined experience in the vision care industry to serve those in need.
At S.O.U.P., we believe that clear vision is fundamental to living a full and empowered life. Our comprehensive approach includes free vision screenings, eye care education, hands-on shadowing and mentorship opportunities, and the provision of eyeglass lenses and frames. By helping individuals see more clearly, we aim to shift perspectives—turning "I can't" into "I CAN."
